About East Lodge Youth Football Club

East Lodge Youth Football Club was formed in May 1997 by Dave Hill, John Shaw, Tony Harris & Elaine Cale. With only two mini soccer teams they joined the Chichester League and both teams won their respective leagues. We now have 13 teams playing in the South Hants Glass Portsmouth Youth Football League and the Cummins & Pope Mid Solent Youth Football League.

East Lodge Youth Football Club is the community football club for the Cosham, Drayton and Farlington areas. Many of the boys playing for the club attend either Court Lane or Solent Road schools. From the under 6's to the U11's age group the boys train and play their matches at the East Lodge Playing Fields in Farlington.

East Lodge Qualities

• East Lodge as a club believes in the fundamentals of football. Passing, movement, skill and above all fair play.
• We are competitive and serious about the game and this reflects the standards achieved at the club.
• We are not a ‘win at all costs’ club.
• All we ask from our boys is honesty, good manners both on and off the field and an aptitude for the game.
• The development and teaching should be left to us. We are always looking for new coaches and managers. If you would like to get involved we actively encourage parents to help.
